Baby Unit

Lamb Setts Baby Nursery is a safe, stimulating and happy environment for children aged 3 months – two years. Your child will be given the love, care and individual attention which are vital at this sensitive period in his/her life. Trained staff will care for your child’s needs, and also ensure that his/her emotional, intellectual, personal and social development is nurtured. The Baby Nursery team is led by a qualified and experienced supervisor who will be happy to discuss the care and development of your child at any time. Parents and Carers are encouraged to complete a care plan for their child so that staff can tailor the care to the child’s individual needs and routine.

All staff will be aware of the Montessori philosophies of care which encompass respect and understanding of the individuality and potential of every child.

The environment at Lamb Setts has been created to stimulate and encourage your child’s development.

Our ultimate aim is to ensure your child is happy and contented whilst in our care at Lamb Setts.

The unit is equipped with a whole range of interesting and stimulating equipment and activities. They are fun and carefully selected to help your child progress through all stages of development. The staff plan a fun and varied timetable which caters for each child’s individual needs.

The Unit consists of a baby/sleep room, a toddler play room, a dining/ craft room, a milk kitchen and toilets with nappy changing facilities. The unit caters for a maximum of 12 children and the ratio of staff to children is 1:3.

When you child starts we recommend that you meet with the supervisor and go through your child’s care plan and arrange some pre-start visits so that we can ensure we have everything in place to make the settling in process as smooth as possible. The settling in process is as individual as your child and we will endeavour to accommodate your needs. You are also welcome to telephone anytime to enquire how your child is settling in.

Food, drinks and nappies are provided at no extra cost, (except specialised dietary or hygiene requirements which must be provided by parents/carers)

Simply bring your child with a spare set of clothes and leave the rest to us!
